INTERACT B.O.D TRAINING 2016

   In order to ensure the newly elected board of directors of each club are prone to get used to their own responsibilities of their posts, an Interact Board of Directors Training was held on the day right after Installation Night, 2nd April 2016 at the Sabah Credit Corporation building in Penampang.

   The day started off with an ice-breaking session with some of the rotarians and all the board of directors from each 5 schools including 3 other guest schools which are SM Stella Maris, SM Shan Tao and KK High School. We danced together to the famous local song Sayang Kinabalu as a morning workout and it turned a blue morning into a very bright one real quick!

   After that, the event went on with a talk specifically for the secretaries about writing down minutes during meetings and then later we proceeded with motivational talks and speeches from different rotarians.

   One of the talks that day touched most of our hearts and it was from Rotarian Iskandar. I still remember how strongly he convinced us that only we have the power to achieve the things for our own selves. He also reminded us how important it is to work hard and rise again after a fall. We then sang The Climb by Miley Cyrus in a big group, which made most of us girls shed a few tears (such ladies we are 😂) because it was definitely such an inspiring song.

   We are very thankful to Rotary Club KK for organizing such an eye and mind-opening event for us youngsters. We came home that day with a much spirited heart and an increase in hunger to strive for the better and I believe I say this for all of us who were there.
