KK JAZZ FEST 2016

Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival is an annual fund raising jazz extravaganza jointly organised by the Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu (RCKK) and the Society of the Performing Arts Kota Kinabalu Sabah (SPArKS). The jazz festival brings together a musical melting pot of talented musicians from around the globe. The event succeeded with a huge turn out for 2016.

Money raised from the KK Jazz Festival is used to fund deserving community projects by RCKK; for example - The Clean Water Project, Literacy Program and Eye Screening and Environment Protection.

RCKK also sponsored 5 of the BODs from each school under RCKK; SM La Salle, SM Sabah College, SM All Saints, SM Lok Yuk and SM St. Francis Convent to the jazzful event. KK Jazz Fest 2016 was held on the 22nd and 23rd July. On that night itself, our winning band team along with SM La Salle and SM Stella Maris from Bakat Interact was given the opportunity to perform as the opening act for the night!
