Board Of Directors Training 2018

Every year Rotary Club KK hosts a Leadership Training Programme for the BODs of all the Interact Clubs in KK which was held in Sabah Credit Cooperation, Donggongon.

 

This event was held to inform and teach us of our roles in the BOD and instil the importance of becoming a good leader. A few speakers came with their presentations to specifically talk about the duties of the presidents, secretaries and treasurers. The talked about recording minutes during meetings, the importance in managing budgets and funds when investing something of the club and most importantly to ensure the safety and well being of the club's members no matter what. 

Not only that, but they also showed the impact that all hard work can bring. They showed us projects that Rotary Club has contributed to our society for example the building of schools and raising awareness for the voiceless in out state. Through the speeches that they gave to us, they truly show what it means to be a leader, but not through their pictures and proof but the passion that they have everytime they talk about bringing change in our status quo.

Carrying on to the interactive part of this programme, and while wearing our obnoxious pink shirts, we practiced the dance that we had brought back from our experiences in RYLA 2017 as a warm up dance routine that each school had to prepare as a part of the intention to enhance the teamwork among the students and overall, form this sense of belonging and togetherness between all the schools.

Overall, I would like to thank Rotary Club KK for taking their time to formulate and plan this Leadership Programme. Through this experience, we brought back home the knowledge to lead and to kickstart this year of events that will truly test our abilities that we have acquired.
