BAKAT INTERACT 2021

That’s a wrap!

Our first ever Bakat Interact virtual competition that was held on the 11th of September, 2021 had ended. Apart from International Understanding Day (IU Day), Bakat Interact is one of the most anticipated and thrilling events organized by RCKK as well.

Let us bring you back in time and introduce you the theme for this year *drum rolls*…. WE’VE GOT SOUL!!!

Time was well spent, I was in awe and amazed by how gifted all participants were. Besides that, rotarians and the judges had prepared special performances for us, not to be dramatic but I might’ve become a fan of theirs :P RCKK also invited the winner of Unduk Ngadau 2021, Miss Maya Hejnowska for a short interview. With the advice given by her, there’s no doubt that she’s truly an inspiration to the younger generation ♡

Despite the fact that the Bakat Interact this year was held virtually, I could still feel the energy and excitement radiating from afar. Everyone showed their support by spamming the comments and cheering for one another, aah.. how i miss the pre-COVID days!

Also, I’m proud to say that six of our school’s representatives made it to the finals and four of them had won the competition for both singing and dancing category!!

Solo Singing Category :
  • Michelle Lawrence (SFC) - 1st place winner
  • Jasmine Renata Kamijan (SFC) - 1st runner up
  • Eiffel Paul (KKHS) - 2nd runner up
Solo Dancing Category :
  • Pang Ee Xin (Sabah Chinese High School, Tawau) - 1st place winner
  • Nur Nabihah Farah (SFC) - 1st runner up
  • Ashahira Alia (SFC) - 2nd runner up

To conclude, a huge shout-out to RCKK for making this possible in the midst of a pandemic. I will surely look back on and cherish this fond memory. Not to forget, thank you as well to all participants for your hard work and dedication for this club. We are proud of you ♡
