A visit to Jireh Home,Tuaran!
On the 16th of June 2013 which was on a Saturday, the Interact Club of our school organized a day visit to Jireh Home for neglected, underprivileged, and abused children in Tuaran. 22 interactors and 2 teacher advisers joined this trip. This trip wouldn't have happened without the careful planning of the social service director, Rowena Lee. The aim of this trip was to give a helping hand to the home by donating food and items to ease their burden. The trip was also a chance for all the senior and junior interactors to bond. Everyone assembled at school at 7 am and we left by bus as soon as everyone was present.
When we reached the orphanage, we received a warm welcome from the warden of the orphanage and were graced with the presence of all the children. The orphanage consist of young kids till teenagers. After hearing a welcome speech from the warden, we wasted no time to get to know the children and began the day with games!
